Water shortage ends! God and Speaker help!

This pic appeared in Harris Hulugalla's Lanka Chronicle.

Sorry about the quality of the picture. Seems like Harris copied it off a newspaper used to wrap Dry Fish (Karavala).
But never mind that!

We are used to politicians going around unveiling statues, laying foundations stones and no doubt opening our rivals' McDonald outlets but this is the first time that we have come across a politician - and no lesser person than The Speaker of the Parliament - going around OPENING TAPS!
Most people do that every day without their pic appearing in the papers.
Next he will be appearing in public flushing toilets!

Hasn't he got anything better to do or is this sheer desperation? we at SCN ask!
